Fedor has some serious one punch knockout capabilities though. And the amazing part is, that's not even the best part of his skill set. He has pretty amazing takedown defense as well, so for Brock to do what he did to Mir, he would first have to GET him on the ground.

I have seen Fedor in more trouble than AA had him in, and he just doesn't get fazed or panic in the slightest. That is why he's as good as he is. That wasn't a 'lucky punch' he caught AA with. He was waiting for it. I am an Arlovski fan, but if he didn't get caught with that punch, he woulda got caught with the next one.

I love Fedor, but I an realistic and won't say he's unbeatable like some people. But he's a whole other level than what Brock has fought so far. I don't think he should fight him this early personally. Just an opinion.

I agree completely that this could fold Afflication. I think they will take a major hit in their PPV sales. Their gate $ take took a serious hit between shows 1 and 2 already (from what I read, half the total). I think that company is on a thread already. Afflication have a few great heavyweights, but the UFC has way more to work with when a problem happens short notice like this. A major problem like this shows their shortcomings.

fedors td defense isnt that impressive.the punch he landed on AA is no fluke obviously , but he was being tool'd like no other through out the fight up untill the knockout.everyone has touched basis on it and knows if AA continued through out the fight like that and brushed off his td's AA would probably be victorious.fedors been rocked , almost had his arm snapped off yes , but no one has come close to making fedor look as bad as AA did.

also as i stated before fedor is no doubt more skilled than brock by a mile , but that wouldnt prevent him from being taken down.there probably isnt anyone who can prevent brock from taking them down (maybe carwin) .

I don't think he has much of a chance, but you gotta give him a ton of respect for stepping up to fight.

And I would venture to say even worse (just not recently). But the guy has an insane amount of composure and I just don't think AA would have pulled off the fight even if he didn't go for the goofy knee. Again, just my opinion. I do agree that AA performed better than anyone has in awhile though.

But either way I definitely don't believe he deserved another shot at Fedor yet after that knockout from Rogers. In fact, I will be interested to see how well he even comes back after 2 vicious knockouts like that.

Ya, same with Wanderlei. He took some vicious knockouts at the tail end of Pride that I don't think he ever recovered from. That one from Cropcop was insane. I was shocked when I learned Wanderlei is the same age as me. He's been through a war and looks like it.

AA could definitely beat fedor with a solid gameplan.its unfortunate that he went for that flying knee and flopped like a rock , but up untill that point AA was tooling him around.given it is a 5 round fight and it didnt last 1 round just my opinion.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe landing the haymaker was exactly Fedor's plan? He was going for it all fight long. Look at how relaxed he was when Arlovski pushed him into the corner.

AA would have had to survive 5 rounds of Fedor's bombs. The flying knee was irrelevant, because one of the punches was going to land eventually.

Brock doesn't have near the striking finesse of Arlovski. He won't be able to hold down Fedor like he did everyone else because Fedor has insane core and hip strength. I'm not going to say that Brock has no chance, but Fedor knows what he's doing. His submissions are much more dangerous than Mir's, too, because his movement from the ground is far more explosive.

UFC101:
Silva vs. Griffin (will be amazing, Silva got his swagger back and said he'd knock out Griffin on the UFC website -- should be exciting)
BJ vs. Kenny (will probably be boring as I think Kenny will just try to keep his distance until BJ is gassed out then go in for the kill .. but if BJ pulls some crazy stuff, could be exciting)
(--kinda funny to see Thailes Leites demoted back to the prelim card after his fight versus Anderson)

Just interested in the Torres fight (wish he'd compete at the UFC level though)

i have taken everything into count when basing my opinion.AA vs fedor is simple , AA's reach vs fedors , aa is able to pick him apart while fedor is forced to get in the pocket to land , which he was not able to get into the pocket up untill the wreckless flying knee.if he continued to pick him apart we would be seeing a different story.you say fedors core / hips are super duper , but what good is that when hes on his back with brock in side control with his chest dug into fedors chest preventing him from moving alah frank mir.there isnt really an answer for that with a guy that big.im glad to see brock actually has learned to throw a decent punch on the floor that isnt a hammer fist.that just makes him even more dangerous.
