Ronda Rousey was still paid $3 Million even though she lost the fight yesterday in 48 seconds.
The champion Amanda Nunes was only paid $100,000 + eligibility for another $100,000 for winning.

Rousey's next match should be against CM Punk with the loser leaving UFC forever.
I don't think she can beat Floyd Mayweather anytime soon...

Let's face it Ronda has always been one-dimensional. She had good judo and a good arm-bar. Dana/Rogan had hyped her to the point where they said she would go and beat male UFC competitors. I always hated her once i saw the real Ronda exposed on one of the TUF seasons with Meisha Tate. Glad the hype is over and she can fade back to oblivion.

Cody put on a hell of a performance though, i was really surprised. Could be a champ for a long time if he keeps improving at this rate.

Rousey is a one trick pony with the arm bar. That's how she won the majority of her UFC fights. As Holm and Nunes proved, if you fight her with "stand up" and don't let Rousey take you to the ground to set up the arm bar, you have a very good chance at beating her. Rousey doesn't have an answer to the stand up aka "boxing".

Ronda is a very good submission specialist, nobody can deny that. It's her stand up that is brutal. The secret is out on her now, keep the fight to stand up and she's dead. Kinda sad that she had 13 months off to mentally prepare and yet she didn't work on her stand up at all after Holm's exposed it as her key weakness. Nunes then just confirmed what everyone already knew. Rousey will never win another MMA/UFC fight again unless her stand up drastically improves. Basically, in a nut shell, she's done.

This is the $1M question and why her coach must suck balls...how can one not working on that freaking gaping Grand Canyon of a hole? It was like I was training her lol "ya, Ronda, just put your arms up and hope she hits them instead of your face". Absolutely no defence at all, wtf... Sadly, I don't think she was was mentally-prepared also, once she got rocked in the head, she probably started having nightmares of the Holm match and basically gave up.

There is a video floating around on reddit that is shot from behind Rhonda's corner. Her corner was telling here to move her head, get away and clinch. She didn't follow any of the instructions.

Well I wasn't training with her obviously, but I'd imagine she had plenty of high level boxing instruction during her buildup to the fight.

I would think so too, but she looked 'god'-awful out there, like *I* was training her lol. Absolutely horrible and Nunes was not that amazing w/ those shots, RR just didn't defend at all. Didn't RR's mom diss her coach a while back? Time to start listening to her mother.

Ronda has no head movement whatsoever in her stand-up. She lacks the basic skills and this is purely her coach's problem. The coach is a hack who lucked out on Ronda walking through his doors. If she was actually still interested in fighting, she would have left a long time ago. Instead she has a poor coach and is surrounded by yes men.

She was for the most part a one-trick pony and her flaw has always been striking (its just the mainstream fans who only see it now). People also forget she was an Olympic medalist. If she wants to fight, she needs to leave her team and dedicate herself again starting from the basics to gain the skills she needs to be an all around MMA fighter.

Ronda tried to clinch but Amanda just threw her off. The game plan probably wasn't to stand with Amanda but she was rocked from the first punch
It looked to me like Amanda was wayyyy more stronger than Rousey and that Ronda even with good striking ability might've still been overpowered by Amanda's strength much like Cyborg overpowered Gina Carano a few years ago. And also I know she tried a couple of times to take Nunes down, but I wonder why she didn't try harder to take things to the ground instead of stupidly trying to standup face to face against Nunes when she was getting rocked repeatedly.
Toronto sports teams..............forever cursed. Profound sadness. :(

Rhonda needs to find a way to get in close to grab her opponent to use her Judo. Judo generally relies heavily on grips and when people aren't wearing clothing, the only way to get grips is to essentially clinch.

In order to clinch, you need to be able to find a way to close the distance.

Rhonda's method of being punched in the face didn't work out too well for her.

Ronda's MMA career is done. A good athlete, but over hyped and overrated. Remember the talk of how she could beat Mayweather and some NFL players (LOL). One-dimensional fighter, who fought against sub-par talent. Off to the WWE where she can win fake fights.

Anyone know who BJ Penn's coach is? He's fighting Yair in a few weeks, and I'm thinking of placing a fair amount on Yair, the heavy favourite. Yair's coach is Greg/Wink, but I don't think Penn is still with those guys. So wondering who's his coach now. Although I'm confident in making a huge bet on Yair, if Penn has a good coach ie John Kavanagh, then I may chicken out.
