We are now in the calm before the storm.

The real stuff hits this evening late into the night and the wee hours of the morning.

sorry I had to say it, just filling in cause OP seems to be covered somewhere under a blanket of one inch of snow. :)

Time to volunteer which car to park outside

Anyone use some sort of car cover or tarp to cover the car, so you don't have to clear the snow off the car?

The pick up truck, El camino or as you suggested, the old amazing Mumford trick.

With the wind, the tarp needs to be tied down tightly. But just as well, no snow will stay on top of it.

With this type of blowing snow, only walls and secluded areas will stop that snow.

Maybe park the cars in the driveway and leave the garage door open? :)

I wonder if wetting the snow at Midnight with a garden hose will stop it from blowing around?Lolz Hmmm.

Wtf? Already finished?
That was just a mini preview, the main storm should be arriving later tonight. From the looks of it, heavy snow after about 7 or 8pm and throughout the night.

Tomorrow mornings commute should be fun... I hope the plows are out full force tonight.
