Trade you again... happily!!! This weather has been more than brutal... humidex of 40... in autumn! Smiling Face With Horns

We had 4 days of actual September weather a couple of weeks ago and BOOM ... insanity ever since. Yeccchhhh. Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

Don't know if I want the humidity.. was one of the reasons we moved from Ontario out west. But I'll take the 40C. Smiling Face With Open Mouth

Something tells me we are not going to cool down as fast as we should. The north is a lot warmer than it should be, just like here. Nights are supposed to be near freezing in the northwest territories but are actually staying well above freezing. Days should be single digits but are hanging around in the double digits.

Barrie used to have frost and even some snow by around the start of October. The failure of them to even get frost in the northwest territories, much less snow, shows how we are really lacking cold.

If the source of cold, which is the north, is lacking it, it will not cool down easily here either.

40?!?! Acckkk! That way lies madness! That, along with pestilence, famine and war... and still more madness... Face Screaming In Fear

Nah... it's nearly October. What would be nice (and comfortable!) would be highs ~ 15... like what we've been waiting (and praying) for since the middle of May. :D

Average high
18.8°C
Average low
7.6°C
Highest temperature (1938-2012)
29.6°C1998
Lowest temperature (1938-2012)
-3.3°C1965

Based on records looks like another record breaking day for toronto.

If we go into the low 20s next week it wont be that much of a stretch based on an ave high of 18.8

Until next Tuesday and Wednesday, anyway. Smiling Face With Horns

After that, we might get back to normal-ish. Fingers (and toes and eyes!) crossed. :D

One important factor (to me) about this heat in Ontario (as someone who lived there for a few years and convinced his wife to move out west to get away from this nasty humid climate).. is it the usual cloudy and gloomy heat? Or is it actually sunny and uplifting for a change?

This past bout was actually sunny. I got more sun in the last few weeks than I did this summer I am convinced. Matter of fact on the rare cloudy day it drove the temps down.

Great day for a tan. Smiling Face With Sunglasses

Edit: Rather, a sun tan.. not a computer monitor/phone/tablet-on-max-brightness tan.
