We just had 4 cm of snow in Ottawa in late afternoon. I looked outside at around 4pm and big snowflakes were coming down, until around 6:30pm. Took everybody by surprise. We thought snow days were over :(

Wow so it looks like my forecast for an early spring was CORRECT! Winter is done folks!

I can fully confirm we are done with it now. Snowfall is finished and the cold is gone until next winter (already has been for a few days already). A very welcome early start to spring this year!
Well that's exciting, and unexpected. After last year, I was prepared for winter to last a lot longer.

I've been riding my bicycle to work this week. It's been pretty nice.

Got burned last year. No way are the winters coming off until mid-April.

Yup same for me. Its way too early. Plus pot holes are better to handle on steelies.

Summer tires are usually hard as hockey pucks if it’s under 7c, so yes, definitely keep the winters on. Just because it’s plus out doesn’t mean take them off, they’re the best balance for Canadian spring until end April / early May depending on where you live.

You really think because it is "spring" winter weather would really be over before mid to late April? Here is what mum nature says about that :Image

In all honesty since the weather has improved the last few weeks, I have been a lot better mood. This winter overall was awful. One of the worst I have experienced since moving here.

You're probably suffering from SAD.

Get a natural light lamp and supplement with Vitamin D, you'll feel better during the winter.

No, it's not that. It started in the middle of January as soon as the weather got bad which seem to be ongoing until a couple of weeks ago. Snow, ice, freezing rain, wind storms, just on and on.

This is actually the very definition of SAD. I have it pretty severe right after Christmas. Every. Single. Season.
