Lake effect should vary from none in some parts of GTA to a dusting in others.

The real deal comes Sunday night,Monday. Seems like 5-10 cm in the GTA. On the GFS.

Eek! My Honda snowblower hasn't arrived yet - coming on Wednesday. Time to see if the old one will work lol. Crappy SnoTech one. Is it 5 to 10cm across the GTA? Or more/less in certain parts. Concerned about RH, Concord, Vaughan :P

Looks more uniform than the past ones. More uncertainty as to where within the range we all get.

Yes it will get quite cold as per all my models. It does appear that a polar vortex is slipping down, through Manitoba, then N. Ont. Then James bay. But not coming all the way to us in the south, at least not yet which is why forecasted night time lows are not even nearly as cold as polar vortex daytime highs in the winter. But cold associated with the PV will reach us still. If the polar vortex comes back next month, it could end up right over us like it has done before. This is far worse lol.

Wonderful day today. Below zero temps. Flurries. Ground is all covered up in snow. Sipping iced cap. Life is good!

Hah a snowfall warning only for 15 cm!
Snowfall warning in effect for:

City of Toronto
A significant snowfall of 15 cm is expected.

Snow has gradually become heavier across Southern Ontario this afternoon. The snow is expected to intensify further into the evening hours and continue rather heavy at times until well after midnight. It is forecast to become lighter towards morning before tapering off near dawn around the Golden Horseshoe and a little later in the morning farther east.

Commuters can expect a slow go of it on Monday morning as roads are expected to be snow-covered or slushy and potentially slippery. The only exception may be right along the Lake Ontario shoreline where roads may be wet with temperatures slightly above the freezing mark.

This snowfall is attributed to a developing low pressure area which is over Missouri late this afternoon and is tapping moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. It will track across the Great Lakes later tonight before heading into New England on Monday.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm.

Seems like everyone's driving IQ drops 50 points in winter season. I can't trust no one, not even myself. For a long commute it's especially bad.
