After being spoiled with relatively mild weather recently - two weeks ago, just under zero, then this last week in the low teens - now we have an extreme cold warning out. Wind chill during the day was low 30s, going to -40s tonight. Ick. Snow would be welcome!

Getting a good amount of snow in King City. What happened to that day when it was 7 Deg C and everything or most of it melted away? I want that back! Haha! Here's hoping that Jan to March is not freezing cold with ice storms, blizzards, wind chills, and such!

Here's to a warmer 2018!

Got snow here in Eastern Ontario during this latest storm
But not nearly as much as the folks around Toronto, and points North or West

So far I would say this has been an Average Winter
With stick & stay snow arriving early in December
And temps mostly below zero in the -5 to -10 range
A few days / nights have been colder... but that is normal too

The Deep Freeze scheduled to arrive this week
Is also pretty normal for those who live near the Quebec Border
Seems it often comes between Christmas & New Years

Let’s just hope it doesn’t hang on for weeks on end into January
(Or the year a few back when we never got above -20 day or night for over 30 Days)

Hey I feel for those of you around the GTA that so far this is not a normal winter
(Colder and more snow)
But for many of us in the rest of Ontario... it has not been so bad thus far
Lol, just average ... and kind of boring... and that’s ok

Better that the very cold front that's coming through scoops up most of the warm precip from the Great Lakes....may make for less snow down the road. Shoveled out the car this a.m. and didn't mind the snow but the gusts were incredibly strong- pays to have a very ugly warm coat Smiling Face With Sunglasses
Overall pleased to see kids in the snow tobogganing and making snow angels.

That is actually scary as heck. i could not imagine. Stay strong, natalka.

It's currently -10 windchill -20 in Mississauga and I just went outside to put out some garbage and I was shook at how cold it was. Bitterly cold.

Wednesday night into Thursday, it's going to be -25c in Mississauga which is the coldest I can remember in a long time. This is brutal and I'm over winter. 0c now feels like summer.

Mississauga forecast

-10 Dec 26
-11 Dec 27
-12 Dec 28
-10 Dec 29
-6 Dec 30
-13 Dec 31
-14 Jan 1

I know this forecast isn't as brutal as the rest of Canada gets, but for GTAers this is pretty bad. I hope I survive.

Great news!

Lol. Looks like Mother nature threw us a curve ball so far.
None seem to have been completely right in their predictions.
Farmers Almanac claimed mild with a lot of rain like last year.
Others claimed very cold but no snow.
Looks like the combo is in effect.
Anyway, Drats and Double drats.
