equally annoying is how people are complaining consoles are too expensive...yet there's nothing that can run close to its performance anywhere near its price bracket. 12GB of GDDR5 does not come cheap. The teardown video suggests they've also put tons into R&D (form factor, liquid-cooling)SpicYMchaggis wrote: ↑ I find the "get a PC" argument really hollow and a bit annoying, I want a turn key pleasant looking box that sits under my TV.
If I wanted to do all my gaming on my PC I could have done that a long time ago, its been a really good platform for quite a while, but its still not a console.
and like hello, have you seen our dollar?
i understand six bills is no small change...but it's all about pay to play if you want a great experience otherwise just buy a One S for literally half the price. No one is forcing consumers to get the latest and 'greatest'...not even Apple despite what you might think (their iPad have not changed in resolution in 5 years...although the battery life and speed might be an issue according to a family member haha)
and also, did everyone forget that PS3 10 years ago costed $699? That's over $800 adjusted for inflation
