Oh what screen to get...
We'll I love to live beyond my means and I thought "what better way than to get a 42"+ LCD/Plasma TV for my computer and ordinary TV". I'm just stuck playing on a 17" Dell Trinitron at the moment and I want more. I want a TV that can handle the resolution that I browse at (1200X960), doesn't consume enough power to heat the house and looks damn good for shooting someone in the head. But most importantly, I need something CHEAP......ish. My range is 900-1300 w/o tax. Which of those places have those "Don't Pay Anything For 1 or 2 Years!" things?
Edit: Aw crap. Newbie blunders caused by being in a hurry. Please move this to the correct forum.

pick out a tv and divide the price by 2 eg 1000 /2 = $500
now save up $500 for 1 year and buy your tv for that price because thats how much it will cost by then.
because it sucks like hell to pay for somthing one year later that is then half the price
ps:***

Hmm, that's not a bad way to do things.

As long as you can wait a year to buy the TV you want now.
in that case you get your tv now from leons or the brick and use the pay for it one year later thing. But if you do this i would recomend avoiding looking at any advertisements for the same tv set you got ever again. and having the money to pay when due because if you dont they will hit you with 27.8% interest and you will feel bad when you see the same tv for 1/2 the price within 4 months after you got it
on the other hand you could get a pos bicast leather sofa set and free tv deal
or mabe a craftmatic bed deal

If that's how you really think, you'd never buy anything. Coz the following year it would be even cheaper again and again and again. You'd be stuck watching a 20" CRT for years and missing out on some nice HD features.

i bought a house with 25% down
i wonder how all those Americans who just could not wait and bought houses with nothing down enjoy looking at their purchase from the sidewalk with the "foreclosed by bank sign posted in front of it and all their stuff on the lawn)
im not saying dont do it just warning about the inevitable
leons or the brick will have a price about $200 more than what you could buy for cash elsewhere

Hmmm. I wouldn't think "Request A Deal" would be the sub forum of choice. I just wanted some support from techies about what TV I should get if I want a good response time, large image and hi rez capabilities for a decent price. I already have a surround sound system (of sorts like using a bass amp as a sub
) and all I need to round everything out is a nice big TV that's good for gaming as well as viewing normal TV (might need one of them fancy "upconverter" things or whatever they are.
P.S. I tried to delete but at that time (when I went a second time) someone had already posted.
