Old Canon printer printing blank pages
It might be time to get a new printer but I'd like to see what everyone else thinks first.
The printer is a Canon BJC-4100 (about 10 years old) and I haven't have much of a problem with it until today. The last time I tried to print something, the pages didn't come out correctly. There wasn't much ink on the pages so I thought the cartridge had run dry.
Yesterday I went out to buy a new cartridge and I put it in today and low and behold it still prints blank pages. I tried cleaning the surfaces of the old and new cartridge by wiping the bottom with a little bit of warm water and a q-tip but it's still printing out blank pagegs.
I can hear the and see that the printer is trying to print out what I gave it but nothing ends up on the pages.
Is there something clogged up in the printer that's preventing it from printing?

Think about it....who has a 10 yr old hard drive? CD drive?
That printer doesn't owe you any money.
Move on , get a new printer.

Modern cars last for 10+ years. No need to excessively consume when something can be fixed.
An old trick to try is to fill the old tanks with windex and print solid full sheets of black.
Unfortunately I think by using water that ruined the print heads.
The good news is I believe that your printer has removable print heads that can be bought in any store and replaced. Check out your manual

I donno ... I am afraid the print heads might cost more than a brand new printer ... I think it's time for a new printer ...
There are a few BNIB printers for sale at BST for < C$50 ...
