Do you have other links to show the benefits of IF in humans for those conditions? A lot of the research has been done in rodents in the links you provided.

I don't know what people's fascination is with 'six packs'. I agree with you--low body fat or having visible abs aren't an indicator of good health.
I've a collection of stuff from over the years. Anything in particular you are looking for?
Pubmed search Jeff S. Volek and Stephen D. Phinney, for low carb/keto based research.
And/or
Valter Longo for fasting, will get you to recent research papers. From there on the sidebar are linked all the other papers they cite.
You can follow that rabbit hole for a very long time, into drug therapies being researched to mimick the metabolic benefits, autoimmune research, etc.

Let me know (pm if you wish) if you want more specific info.

Thanks. I'll try my own search first. I'll probably get sucked into the rabbit hole :D

I guess it depends on who you ask. I'm a lady and couldn't care less about men/women with six packs.

... fasting just helps you improve your discipline. I guess and this is entirely my perspective on the matter, but it can help with other aspects of life like what delayed gratification does for people....
Doesn't everyone learn discipline by going through the school system? Do ur homework, and only then can u watch tv, for example?

I believe that teaches compliance to authority. Not personal discipline.
(Although I'm not certain there is any real difference)

Biologically/ evolutionarily speaking, a visible six pack "should" be considered to be unattractive.

But these days attraction isn't really tied back to finding a robust partner to mate with and produce offspring :D

Hunger, can be awkward socially if events are scheduled out of your eating window, can be bad for performance (think athletes), not optimal for retaining/building muscle (iirc), etc.

Not disagreeing with your points as everyone is different,
But omad for me means
Lack of hunger, Often an interesting starting point for discussion at meals.
Hi performance athletes use targeted fasting in their training, (for instance, significant increases in VO2 Max can be had). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20452283
Agree it's not the best for building muscle, but there are potential advantages there too. With fasting one can quintuple levels of human growth hormone. Bodybuilders have been experimenting with fasting for decades.

If someone attempt to make things socially awkward for to you at dinners, consider telling them you are prepping for a colonoscopy. ;-)

So then, if it's not biology we are listening to, to tell us who is attractive....
Who is it we are listening to? And why?

Unfortunately it is biology. In todays world though, it's considered politically incorrect to go with what biology says.
