OnePlus One Smartphone 16GB/64GB $299/$349 OUTRIGHT! [DO NOT THANK ME]

Hey, making this thread so we can all help each other obtain this $299 beast phone.

It will be available in mid May, and you can only purchase through an invite only system.

Once you get invited, you can invite other people too so they can purchase them.

Let's just hope that one RFD member will be within the 100 members chosen for initial purchase, and they are willing to invite other RFD members after.

It's a very good phone.. And I would love to get it.. But after reading the stupid invite system and possible wait time of 2 months, its not that attractive..

They also have 64gb black version for $350

Typo on your post OP. There is no 32GB, it's 16GB for $299US or 64GB for $349US.

Where did you get the possible wait time of 2 months?

One plus one forum.. General availability of the phone will be around july/August + shipping time so probably way into August..

Even if you manage to get an invite, it will be in June..

Edit: post from one of the user at official forum (Time frame looks correct as per announcements by OPO team)

Now that the presentation is done and the website is up, it is clear that the One will be available in three Stages:

1. 100 Smash - Will get the OnePlus before/around May 25
2. Customers with Invite - Will get their phone Mid/End June.
3. Customers with Invite and General Availability - Mid/End July/August

So 2/4 months before the phone is actually available.

At which time Nexus 6 information should be out and we can decide which to pick up.

Made up of some ex-Oppo employees.

Not a hot deal because of the invite system and YMMV. Not to mention the wait time after placing order or for the general public without invites.

I'm curious to hear about the build quality of the phone.
Specs are just specs. HDMI android sticks have powerful specs, yet cost just a few $$$ but are built like crap.

Anyone noticed it looks a LOT like the nexus 5 in terms of form?

Very few info about the available features/ performance/ batt life on this phone, read the hardware specs they are trying to make it look better than the Samsung S5/ HTC One. At $299 out right a piece (~$256 Samsung S5 cost), I really doubt that I would get a real phone. Plus, 299 to test a prototype is not hot.
