Onkyo TX-NR807 or TX-NR1007
Anyone know of a good deal on these? I'm tempted to order from the USA, then go and get it.
Right now, looking at a price of $830USD shipped to the USA for the Onkyo TX-NR807 from Newegg.com.

Is it the network part that interests you?
I could go get a 5.1 or 7.1 Pioneer receiver for $300........but I'm thinking that my Klpsch reference speakers won't like me for that. They probably don't like me for my current JVC receiver

I would like to have the network port, but also I was told in the store that it makes game playing more realistic with the sound distribution. I dont know if its true or just a lot of hotair.
I do know that you could get last years model for less than half the going price for these units, so I am looking at that option too.
I am hoping that I can get a good black friday deal, then run down to Buffalo to pickup.

Might go on sale at BB on Boxing Day. Right now it's there for $1299 right?
I was looking at it myself. Onkyo 807, Yamaha RX-V1900 used to be my primary candidates for a boxing day pickup. Now, I am thinking of going the Marantz 6004 or 7002 route instead.

PM'ed nr807 at BB for $969 (Gibbys $999, so $300 diff plus 10%) Best price you will get in Canada right now from an authorized seller.
I was looking at sr6004, it's around $1099 in the GTA but the "pop of death" scared me away... Check avsforum..
I wish the avr-990 wasn't so ridiculously expensive.
All three are really good receivers. For warranty I wouldn't recommend cross border shopping a receiver, unless the price is just crazy low. Speakers, for sure..
