got an onkyo sr606..and loving it so far..i was debating between the 606 and yamaha v663..but onkyo cameup on top in my research..plus the 606 doesnt have the heating issues that 605 had....atleast so far in my experience. I wouldnt get a refurbished 605 since they have had heating issues.

Anywayz i got the 606 from circuit city for about US$550...when it came out..hope this helps..

After you mentioned ebay, I checked... there are places selling the 663 for less than $400 shipped by UPS. Upon calling UPS, they charge around $60 to "handle" the shipment (brokerage, paying for taxes/customs up front, etc.), in addition to that, duties/taxes from CCRA will also have to be added.

I'm not sure how much duties would be, but assuming 15%, that's another $120 added to the $400 (which I think is still a half decent deal).

I have asked almost every single one of the ebay sellers. The best deal is from bigbuycity:

They will do 368.80 + $25 USPS International Priority (as advertised). However, when I messaged them, they didn't confirm it would be shipped priority. I'm inclined to think that it is FCM but as long as it is NOT UPS standard to Canada or any ground courier that'd be fine.

They told me this is a regularly stocked item when I asked. I don't see any new listings from them yet however. Worth to send an email.

Premier discount will ship UPS Standard, but will declare at $50. You will end up paying about $40-45 brokerage + cod.

I just called Bigbuy city and they said that they don't have any in stock. I'm looking to pick one up from them too... they told me to keep my eyes open on their ebay listing.
