Getting error 404 but got my buddy to try for me and says "error address already exists" when he inputs my info. Does that mean mine went through despite the error?

Ok got confirmation screen.

Fingers crossed now.

I heard Ecobee is better for Apple users and Nest is suited for Android?
Ecobee is also suited to those that don't like having every single part of their life being tracked.
2015 wins: Trip for 2 to NYC with airfare, limo, hotel and insurance ($3700); Maple Leafs tickets($250); 32GB HTC One M9 ($700), Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1($200), Samsung Galaxy Note 5($850), Aukey 2 port fast car charger($23), Fitbit Flex ($120), Blue Piston Bluetooth Speaker ($30). 2016 wins: nada

NEST > ECOBEE.

I've used the 2 products (nest 3 and ecobee lite), nest is a way better hardware.
Do we need to select NEST or ECOBEE during registration ?

Thanks

Is this true what he said? :arrowd:

I didn't get a chance to select the thermostat
Current E3 has homekit and can be used wit Siri.
The native app is also very good, since the last update with geofence and works just as well with Android.
Integrating with ST, the E3 is by far better than Nest...of course that's my opinion :)

There's your problem!

I have to disagree. I've also used both products and while the Nest is more aesthetically pleasing, it is not as "smart" as the Ecobee3 or Ecobee3 Lite. The only disadvantage the Ecobee3 Lite has currently is not integrating with an accessory device like an HRV.

The room sensors itself make the Ecobee far superior. However from some rumours I am hearing about the next-gen Nest is it might integrate their smoke detectors and CO2 detectors to also act as temperature monitors that will relay back to the Nest.

However for the current product line up I have to say the Ecobee provides more of a smarter home as it can detect occupancy on multiple floors. The Nest right now cannot and the device is marketed as a "learning" thermostat on when people leave or occupy the home.

E3 will come with a homekit? Cool. Sounds like another hub of sorts.

That $20 8-port gigabit switch is sure looking handy.
