Ooma $30 off $99.99 + $20 Amazon gift card free shipping

OK in my effort to get rid of our outrageous home phone cost I finally pulled the trigger and ordered an Ooma.
The best deal I could find was directly from Ooma for $99.99 ($30 off) and no shipping charges (reg $10) link is here

Looks like a good deal.
I paid more for my Ooma about a year ago and I have to say I'm really happy with it. Every bit as good as our previous landline for just over $4 per month

Freephone line is cheaper with no monthly fee..just initial setup fee.

I use my Ooma for business. FPL does not have the call quality nor reliability for that.

Actually looked at freephoneline but looked too complicated for me to setup - I liked the plug and play relatively easy setup of Ooma. Glad its working for you though, just thought I'd mention that we're happy with our Ooma and compared to Bhell I'm really happy with the just over $4 per month cost.

I got rid of Bell almost a year ago now and ported my number over to OOMA. Have never been happier with OOMA and just paying over $4.00 a month with free Canadian long distance. I did pay $99 for my OOMA device when it was on sale.

Anyone try their home security monitoring? It looks like great value if the base station can do all that.

Working good with grand Alarm, tested couple time and they are getting signals.

Why not use their own home security?

I have been using ooma for the past 2 years and I found the call quality to be below average. There calls were in and out from time to time. A few months ago the phone can not receive calls and the support people just keep telling me to try later (as if they are too lazy to bother investigating). It took a few angry emails and phone calls to get someone to seriously look into and fix the problem, which was 2 weeks later. Good thing this is just a backup phone number, otherwise would have switch to another provider in no time.

Really? I have been using FPL for over 6 years and never had any problem.
