Ordering from Paul C Buff

Hi guys For the people who's ordered at PCB before, is it recommended to use UPS worldwide shipping to avoid brokerage fees? Anybody have any experience with the "UPS Canada ground standard" option?

Also I don't see any charges for taxes at checkout, where and when will I be charged this?

don't use ground, pay extra for express and not only you'll receive it a bit faster, all the brokerage fees are included.
All the taxes you'll pay to UPS, probably you'll receive an invoice from them a few weeks after the package arrives.
I never use UPS/Fedex ground. Still remember ordering a $40 lock + $10 UPS ground shipping and paying ~ $57 in taxes, brokerage and duties on arrival.

Yes, always choose the UPS Worldwide Express shipping option. Canada Customs will charge you the duty depending on which country an item was manufactured (http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/trade-commer ... u-eng.html). They'll also charge you the HST for all the items on top of that.
What you're saving when choosing UPS Worldwide Express is the insane brokerage fees - http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shippi ... rance.html

Thanks for the advice guys. I may hold off on the order and look for a local used unit. They have great products and costumer service from what Ive heard but its just so inconvenient if your outside the US. Shipping for a small 10x36 stripbox is almost as expensive as the actual product..
