if osap still gave you money, i believe the rest is sent to your bank account or you go to the financial aid office and they give you the rest in a check or something.Originally Posted by VivaLaRaza

Aug 17th, 2006 11:47 AM #18if youve paid all your tuition before the cheque/credit for a scholarship/bursary comes in, then you get a cheque from the university for that amount.

You either applied too late to be considered for at least aiming for the top, or your marks a ******, or you're loaded.
Doesnt sound all that gay to me. You could have done something about the first 2 reasons. But I guess if yours is the last one, then yeah, it is ****** to be loaded.

I didn't get any grants/scholarship (Free money) the first 2 years
, I m getting a grant this year for just about 1000.
My question is, if I drop my load ( one course ) but still remain full time student, do they take reduce money from my access grant or the loan money (I m suppose to get both for the winter term)?

after you send in your signature sheet, then after school starts you have to go pick it up, and then 7 days it will be deposited in your bank.

you have to wait till the offcial first day, or else the Financial office wont let you pick it up, for the first 2 weeks there will be HUGE lineups though...

congrats on the scholarship+grants though!
not only did i not get a scholarship well small amount, they say i wont get the Access grant until they review my income in late fall
"Before your eligibility for this grant can be determined, the ministry must first verify all income provided on your OSAP application with Canada Revenue Agency. If the income you (and your spouse or parent(s), if applicable) reported on your OSAP application is different from the amounts provided by CRA, your loan eligibility will be reassessed. As a result, the amount of loan you are entitled to may change, which may also affect your eligibility for this grant.
The verfication of income starts in late fall 2006. Please check back after this time for information about your eligibility for this grant. "
