OSAP $800 tuition rebate
Your education is the best investment you can make in your future. And keeping the cost of your education affordable is important to all Ontarians.
That?s why, starting in 2012, we?re taking 30% off the average cost of tuition. You?ve recently received the new grant through direct deposit. This is our way of helping you get the education you need, so you can achieve your dreams ? whatever they may be. We know that when you do that, Ontario succeeds, and we all win.
Congratulations on pursuing your dreams, and I wish you all the best in your studies.
Dalton McGuinty
Premier of Ontario
I got this in my email on the first of February but I have yet to receive anything. Anybody have an idea what is going on? Who can I contact about this?

I guess I should be more clear. By "but I have yet to receive anything" I literally mean I have not received anything of value from the government related to this program.

When I check the status of my application for the grant it says it is still processing. I don't receive OSAP but meet the eligibility requirements for the grant. Anyone else yet to hear anything back?

I am eligible but I heard everyone who is eligible receives this amount. However, I never got any e-mails or have yet received any in my bank account or from my school's account.

Maybe they haven't processed all the students yet?

Slow process. If you signed up correctly for the rebate, you will get it. Already have heard of many that have received it.

Didn't sign up, but eligible through OSAP, but didn't get any e-mails or funds into my bank/ school's account.

Because I'm a mature student, not only do I not get this $800 grant, but they're also taking away my Textbook grant.
THANKS DALTON!

Mcguinty was planning on screwing a lot of people before he got elected. He has lied many times and people still voted for him, this is what they deserve.

Not me, I voted NDP in both provincial and federal.

They wouldn't be able to afford it just like the Liberals. They would probably have to cut other grants or do something else to pay for it.
