OSAP for living rent allowance

I'm going to apply for request of living allowance on my OSAP application. It asks for a rental agreement as proof. So I was wondering, if I should write in the rental agreement that I started to rent since Jan 1 or Feb 1. because I'm concerned if I write Jan 1, then OSAP will not give me money since they think I already have $1400 (2month rent 700+700) to give to the landlord.

Or should this not be a problem?

Because I really want to make sure OSAP would consider my request for rent allowance. I don't wanna mess up.

Or, would it be better to write the rent from February 1, because it makes sense, since I haven't lived on the rent yet, so OSAP could send me money..

Could anyone please help me regarding this, if you have any idea about this..

If you have any further question, please feel free to ask me.

Thank you very much.

How about... Stick to the truth. If your lease started on January 1, put that down. If it started on February 1, put that down. That way, when they ask for proof (i.e. a copy of your lease agreement) you won't have to start another thread asking how to get around the next problem.
