OT: But Hot Deals Related...
Hey Fellow RFDers,
I just wanted to pitch a suggestion / idea and see how it'd be recieved, I'm thinking of putting together an online application for "tracking" Staples PMing (at least in the first revision), since Staples is quite a YMMV PM opportunity for many items, and EVERYONE's always asking where? when? managers? etc.. etc..
So my idea is to piece together an online database where we could all freely submit details for any of the current Staples PMs going on and see where people are getting results etc.. etc.. and what managers, and well basically any other information you guys would like to see displayed.
If you think this is a good idea, just let me know, I'd like to see if there's any interest in this before I sit down and write up the first revision, also if you've got any suggestions / features you would like to see in this, let me know.
Rough idea: Search by store or item, see lists of people with successful/unsuccessful PMs on said objects. Basically a repository, could eventually be expanded, but Staples generally seems to be the biggest YMMV so I think it'd be a good resource.
Let me know!

I'm a little hesitant that it will just give StOOpleS a bigger 'heads up' than they already have, from reading these forums. {Hi StOOpleS spies, I know you read these forums.
} Though good in theory, you also run in the problems with specifying who specifically is providing PM's - ie., it's not appropriate to start 'naming names' on these boards, of innocent StOOpleS employees {o.k., o.k., I know some of them aren't so innocent, and they dervive great satisfaction when they eagerly tell us the PM is declined} but none-the-less, for those reasons, I'm not really wishing for something like this to take place on RFD.
So on other words - it is a good idea - but only if it could be kept a secret from the StOOpleS team.

Thanks for the insight everyone, good feedback, this is exactly what I want to hear.
But yeah, naming names, sure isn't that great, but again I was just throwing out options/ideas so it's good to hear feedback like this.
Yeah, I completely understand the whole "giving staples a heads up" kind of approach. But then again, what's the most they could do? Other than start issuing company-wide emails saying NOT to PM something?
Any other feedback and input would be greatly appreciated, especially ways for it to be "secretive" from the stooples employees..
Just anything and everything that's on your mind!

What's the point...
PriceMatching Staples is a game, it should be fun to see if they do it. Don't tip the scales to benefit customers.
Let everyone learn on their own.
Otherwise, I'll just post up bogus information anyways...
