Ottawa Hotel Deals
I am wondering if anyone knows of any decent deals for a two night stay in Ottawa going on right now and may not be that well known or advertised? Going during Winterlude and yes I have looked at the deals on the Ottawa Tourism page. I have been using Priceline for the past week or so and I am up to 90 for bidding and still nothing yet.

When we went for winterlude last year, we used AirBNB to stay at 2 different houses in 2 nights and it worked out well. Part of it was to save on expensive hotels and part of it to try out AirBNB. Check if the couple having the Golden Buddha room are available(they have one more room modeled as a Rock n roll room or something). They run it as a business and it had worked out to be around $50 for one night after all discounts and fees (discount was for first time AirBNB user or something). They are about 15-20 mins from downtown, but if you have a car its worth it. If you decide to go this route and their rooms are available, PM me and I can provide you with their email, so you can deal with them directly and avoid AirBNB fees. I can't remember the other couple's name, but they were in the Nepean area I think and they weren't even at home for that weekend, so we had the entire house to ourselves.
We haven't used AirBNB since, but that is because we had a baby last year and cut down on long distance driving. Hoping to hit the road a few times and try it out again this year

I appreciate the suggestion, but airbnb is not an option for us.

Hotwire it! I love hotwire! 3 star for Ottawa East is $73/night for family day weekend! It'll be about 15-20min max drive to downtown. Things are much closer here than Toronto

Are you looking for downtown? If so, I'll keep an eye out for you. Down there everyday.

Yes I am looking for the downtown area. Thanks.
I may go the way of Priceline express deals which is the same as hotwire.

Check out
Les suites hotel. My family came to visit and stayed there
The arc hotel has government rates
Check out hotels.com or book directly on les suites or the arc.
Both these hotels are four plus stars and downtown.
I think I paid 85-100 a night for les suites and 100-125 for the arc.

I will check out both of them, thanks.
I am up to 90.00 on priceline for a 3 to 4 star hotel and still no acceptance.

The kids park is on the Quebec side at Jacques Cartier. If you want to save money, Boulevard Gréber in Gatineau is a very easy bus ride/drive from there. Hotels in Hull are within walking distance, but they price accordingly.
When are you going? Winterlude now has fairly confusing calendar now that it is a mostly weekend festival.
Keep in mind there is no shortage of Ottawa downtown parking on the weekend.
Priceline is a fool's errand during Winterlude. Non-Winterlude Ottawa weekends, absolutely, but Winterlude weekends are the only ones that Ottawa hotels can charge close to what they charge during weekdays.

$77 for 3 star at Hotwire for downtown Ottawa is pretty good to me and none of this bidding crap at Priceline. I am not a fan of Priceline these days.

I got a decent deal last year with Delta through priceline.
We were there last year so we know it is a weekend festival.

That would be ideal.

That's Feb 16th to Feb 18th for two nights. $77/night for downtown Ottawa. Possible hotels that Hotwire will give you:
Our 3-star hotels include:
Radisson Hotels & Resorts
Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts
DoubleTree by Hilton
Sheraton Hotels & Resorts
Hilton Hotels & Resorts
and other brand-name and independent hotels

Hot wire is the best deal. All those hotels mentioned are decent. Les suites, the arc, Weston and chateau Laurier will cost 100-500 a night.

We are going the 8th over that weekend and on Hotwire, I do not see any listing for a 3 star in downtown listed. It is showing 2.5 star, but I have always preferred 3 star or higher hotels. I may go for the 3.5 star ones showing for 107/night in downtown.
However, on priceline express deals is showing 4 start for 101 usd/night in downtown. I am leaning towards that deal instead.
