Out of province rent tax question
I was in quebec for sometime last year and the rest spent in ontario. Now while applying for tax how do I show the rent that I paid while in quebec? (I do not have any tax forms from my old landlord).

Quebec Return?
As for the rent - I believe if you were resident of ON on Dec 31, you lose the benefit of rent paid outside ON for your "Ontario" tax credit. You have to file a provincial return for the Province that you were resident in on Dec 31.
Ontario tax credit is not that big of a deal - you won't get much back, if anything from 6 weeks of rent. I would forget about it, especially if you have no receipts.
You may want to look into filing a PQ return if you paid any PQ income tax - they have a totally different income tax system than ON.

You can only do your taxes in one provence. So you can only claim credits in one provence. You have to do your taxes where you were a resident on Dec 1st, I think, not the 31st.
