Out of ram when it's not?
Laptop Spec
2.2ghz
2gb ram
vista 32-bit
So my problem is I get this message

and this one

when I still have memory

Anyone know what the problem is? I only used up 1.5gb out of 2, and then it starts warning me about low ram etc._______________

Just a guess but it might be complaining your page file is almost full, not your physical RAM. It's close to 90% full. Try increasing it to like 3GB and see if if makes a difference.

just a quick question, do you have intergrated video or a seperate video card? you can check how much memory your laptop onboard video is sucking up.

Ooh! Ooh! I get this problem too.
My desktop has 8 gigs of RAM, and I'm using an ATi Radeon 4850 (512MB RAM). I don't use a page file, but I get that message when I have around a gig left of RAM.

Just an idea.
Do you regularly restart/shutdown your computer? If you are the type of person to leave your computer running for days then restarting it ever day or 2nd day could fix this issue for you._______________

I had that before. It's a page file issue. The OS thinks that your HD is nearing full capacity because of the virtual stuff.

Update: So it turns out my pagefile was set to 0. I configured it to the recommended 3067mb, and it's working fine ever since.
many thanks to zegerman and everyone else for their replies._______________
