Funniest comment I've read in some time.Nunavut is in "the same country" as you but I get your point.
EDIT: I actually just realized something about the girl in the red jacket which might corroborate your point about people trying to maximize the amount of wear they can squeeze out of their jackets even when the mercury rises above zero degrees. I looked a little closer and realized:
1 - This is one of the early Chilliwack designs that had matching rib-knit cuffs and waistband. The jacket is red, so these parts also happen to be red. Sometime in the mid-2000s, I think that's when Canada Goose changed so that those areas were now black, no matter the base colour of the jacket.
2 - Those early Chilliwacks with the matching rib-knit areas are tough as hell to find these days. This jacket was from well before the late-2000s explosion of the brand in Canada (Europe was apparently earlier) and therefore before the subsequent flooding of the market with newer Chilliwack designs.
3 - She's wearing a men's Chilliwack, due to the direction of the storm flap on the front of the jacket. Maybe Canada Goose didn't make a women's version back then, and started offering a women's version only when the company's popularity started to skyrocket in its home nation. This point is purely speculation on my part since my history is actually quite weak.
Going by the above points, I am extrapolating that this girl is a supreme douchette who has been repping her winter jacket in springtime for YEARS now (being an owner of an older jacket), and is NOT a recent jumper onto the Canada Goose popularity bandwagon eager to show off her newly-acquired goods this season like so many new owners tend to do, comprising the typical breed of people featured on the Canada Douche Tumblr blog. Surely she's not getting tired of doing this pretentious activity year after year even as a veteran owner. Wow.
Congrats on a killer price! The way I see it, seventy bones will probably get you a winter jacket offered at a mall store or maybe Wal-Mart or Costco which was manufactured in Asia or Latin America. Give me the same money and I'd rather have something Canadian-made and can perform. It's a no brainer. This is coming from a guy who wore a cheap winter jacket purchased at Costco many moons ago and suffered every winter when it was below -20°C because I was actually unaware there was anything else out there.

I hope so, but product specs can vary.
Yeah, for $70, I probably wouldn't be able to get anything better. The seller listed the original price paid was $400+tax. One of the reasons I was interested in the jacket was because I knew that CDN Spirit is/was the same company as OSC. I don't think my mom cares though, and she's probably happy to have a Canadian-made down jacket.

So I sent in my Canada Goose Fusion Parka to be repaired ~7 weeks ago.
It arrived yesterday and I can say I'm very satisfied with the results.
I might do a small review on the procedure and jacket if I have time.

That fur borders on ridiculous, lol. It's nice that they repaired it for you. Did it cost you anything?
This isn't the first time I've heard complaints about buttons coming off of Nobis jackets. How many buttons have fallen off? Did you get it repaired professionally?_______________

Yeah, unfortunately the person who owned the jacket before cut of the product tag for some strange reason so they could not register the jacket under warranty. It cost me $50 to replace the fur and cuffs and I don't see it as that bad because I can probably sell it for more than a $50 gain from the old price.
