Outlook now charging $19.95 U.S./year for ad-free

logged in today and noticed smaller window with a message on the side "it looks like your using an ad blocker. to maximize the space in your inbox, sign up for Ad Free Outlook" , link says $19.95 per year. wtf Microsoft, that hard up for money?

Yup this has been going on since back in the early Hotmail days.

They're also testing a new 'home-friendly' type service comparable to Office 365 that allows custom email via hosted exchange called Outlook Premium.

Yeah it was Hotmail Plus before with no ads and additional storage.
