Yeah no one knows WTF they're doing in beta so give it some time :) I'm not trying to be the "L2P!" guy or something but he is decently balanced, people just haven't learned the counters yet.

When I played as Bastion people were literally just throwing themselves at me without even using abilities or attempting to really avoid me. It was pretty sad, felt like playing against the AI. He has 3 different hard counters just off the top of my head - Reaper, Reinhardt, Pharah and there's several others who can use indirect fire to do the same. I haven't played much Junkrat so no clue on that one.
The one match I played as Junkrat, the other team couldn't even touch the first objective. Planting his steel trap and remote c4 slowed enemies down, and then propping myself in an elevated position nearby allowed me to just hurl nades down. But as you mentioned about Bastion, it's just a function of newbies not knowing what to do in situations, and just running in blindly without any sense of who they're facing.

Widowmaker was another one who's a beast against low level players. Her grappling hook makes her a hard target if you find a good spot, and the mines really help protect against rushing opponents.

The times I've taken out Bastion easily, it was using Winston's jump to get behind him. But there are chokepoints where it wasn't possible to jump over, or when the Bastion player was using elevation well to make him harder to hit.

I'm really liking D.Va too, and I had a lot of fun just using Mei to block off and separate enemies who weren't playing in a coordinated way. The variety of characters makes this game really good, but it just seems like noobs in the beta are more concerned with getting kills so they're ignoring some of the more fun characters.

Played for a few hours last night, it looKS like blizzard has another hit in there hands.

Usually I would knock the balance issues that come from having 20+ characters but blizzard has done an amazing job with balance here. It's going to be fun to watch this game evolve in a Moba like fashion as teams figure out the best combination of players.

Wow .. I can't believe I dismissed this when I had the opportunity to preorder at 30% off.

Been playing the BETA all morning. It's so much fun.

It's like you are always playing in a BLOPS3 Specialist mode with the gameplay objectives of TF2. So much diversity in how you approach the gameplay. The only thing I can see hurting it is 6 on 6 ... 8 vs 8 would be ideal.

man I made this thread and with all the games I have backlogged I never found the time to try the BETA or really pay attention to anything about this game. I feel so out of touch with new releases in general. Is the consensus that this game is going to be worth the full price? Is it $79 in Canada? How many of you are getting this at launch? I know Blizzard games hardly ever go on sale and with this being online and all I'm wondering if I should look into getting it sooner than later so I don't miss out while the community is active

I also played the Overwatch Beta this week but I am not sure if it will have long-term staying power unless you are into Team Fortress 2.
Overwatch does not have any sort of campaign to play through.

It is fun to play but there are other games that have online multiplayer that I would rather play over Overwatch.

Yeah $50ish Canadian and possibly cheaper if you are willing to go the grey market route. I would say its absolutely worth the $50 bucks though

Going back to bastion, he definitely can be tough when no one knows what to do against him, but he also melts pretty quick to widowmaker, reapers who flank them, pharaohs that rocket them, and plenty of other decent counters depending on where they are. Overall the balance seems really good, only hero I would say seems a bit strong right now is widowmaker when they are in good hands (not mine). Sucks going zenyatta and getting 1 hit body shot killed by widowmakers.

I was playing with a couple of lone wolfs last night on the escort/defend objective maps. These two guys would run off and do their own thing while not helping the team escort or defend the objective. On voicechat they were complaining how its' too easy to die in this game and that there should be perks like CoD for multikills. What got me laughing outloud was how they said this game is too unrealistic, unlike - you guessed it - CoD! LOL! They really think CoD is realistic... idiots.

Afterawhile, they left to go play the most realistic game evarrrr.. ;)

Good laughs from the ignorants. I do hate what CoD has done to this generation despite it's the same crap year after year, much like the Assassin's Creed games.

From where? I briefly looked at the site at work yesterday and it said $59.99 USD so I figured CAD would be even more.

Same, I regret not having paid attention to this so much. I've been glued to my computer monitor all morning.

The base game is $39.99 USD on Battle.net which comes to around $51 CAD.

If anyone knows of a cheaper place to get the game, please let me know cause it sees CDKeys.com doesn't carry the vanilla edition.
