Palm class action lawsuit - replace your defective m* PDA
If you're an owner of a Palm m100, m105, or m125 and you purchased it between the dates of June 1, 1999 and May 4, 2005 (ie. don't bother searching [rfdlink=http://forums.redflagdeals.com/autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78]ebay[/rfdlink] for a "cheap" PDA), you are eligible to receive a replacement if your device loses data when replacing the batteries, according to Palm's instructions (ie. you remove the batteries - and your information is lost.. you have no chance to replace them before data loss), if the unit is otherwise functional.
See:

Unfortunately, this settlement only applies to Americans..
Any lawyer-types know how/if this can be extended to Canada?_______________

I think I've got an old Palm m100 lying around somewhere? Does that mean I can send it in and get a better one?

Have a 105 that actually lost date a few times, figured it was "normal". Has some other issues too. Luckily, hardly ever used it. Would be nice to know if we can benefit from this.

If it exhibits the problem as described above (ie. remove the batteries, instant data loss), and is otherwise functional, then yes.. you can get a replacement (might not be a better one - but they don't make m100s anymore.. ).. that is, if you lived in the United States.._______________
