thanks, i was going to add it as per the costco thread but i don't have the sheet sizes for it, once i have the confirmation i will add it!
Cannot add anything regarding sheet size...

But we checked it out when we were at Costco on the weekend, and it did not pass the $ 1 or less per regular roll litmus test... so was not really a great buy at all.

Still the Costco-ites were scampering to buy it up enmasse

I don't know if $1/roll is a good way to calculate or see the value, as the number of sheets per roll varies even from the same manufacturer!

thanks; lol vintage is just some old stock people have dug out from 10+ years ago... so no idea which store it was bought from. I put them there to see how they have reduced the product and increased pricing as they do with everything.

Thanks for the find. I don't buy Bounty but the CDN tire brand but I'm willing to pick up a pack to try out as napkins. The CDN brand doesn't quite cut it in that area and I can never manage to find inexpensive napkins :S

No frills has 6 = 9 rolls of Royale Tiger Towel for $4.97.
It's 5.9" x 11" x 95 sheets x 6 rolls / 144 = 256.8958333 sqft.
That comes to $4.97/256.8958333 = $0.0193 per sqft
However, with a $1 off coupon from entering a contest with royale it comes to $3.97/256/8958333 = $0.0154 per sqft

https://spring.royalepromotions.ca/#/
Make up fake info if you want to get to the coupon screen if you have no interest in the contest.

The coupon expires in June and can be used on toilet paper also (min 12 rolls).
The flyer price expires on April 18th, 2018.

No Frills has the regular 6 rolls of tiger towel at the end of the aisles by the cashiers with the same price ($4.97). You'll have to go halfway up an aisle to find the display for the 6 = 9 rolls. That's a scumbag move by no frills if you're not paying attention.

That's a decent price with the coupon for a better quality paper towel vs the CDN Tire Mega brand which is almost paper like :S

You can checkout the toilet paper calculation thread for price history, I think there's paper towel in there as well.

@No Frills is half right the PT Discussion & Price Tracking did start in the infamous RFD TP thread, but it has since spilled over (pun intended) to a spot of its own

I have a lazy question, please don't hate me. I don't want to have to wait for great sales to buy paper towel. I must have select a size, and I like Bounty because I remember that it was well rated once in Consumer Reports. I usually go to Walmart and buy whichever Bounty SAS is on sale. (I keep thinking I should bring a scale with me and figure out the prices of Bounty by weight.) I am a Costco member too and should probably try the Kirkland brand.
Here are my questions:
1. Can we generalize about what is usually the best store to buy Bounty SAS without waiting for a sale? Walmart? Costco? Superstore?
2. Between Bounty SAS and Kirkland SAS, can we generalize and say that without special sales, Kirkland is usually cheaper?

There is no universal answer unless you only consider price per whatever unit of measurement you choose. If other factors like quality matter to you to any meaningful degree, they can influence the answer.

There is no “one size fits all” (pun intended) answer for this... but although I appreciate all the calculations that @porksoda has done / kept track of in this thread, my general feeling is this... the one we use when we buy PT

Bounty is the best PT on the market (has been a winner many times in various tests & Reviews)
And our fave Bounty is SOS
Yes rolls can and do come in different sizes (Sheets per roll)
But for us our quick measuring stick of whether it’s a good price or not still is $ 1 per regular sized roll

So for the picture ad shown back at Reply # 20
Where it shows 12 = 18 (Jumbo Rolls to Regular Rolls)
Anything at or lower than $ 18 is a good buy

The more under that $ 1 marker the more likely I am to stock up

ADD - That shown Black Friday Ad is an excellent deal at $ 12.98
Not uncommon for a pkg that big to sell at 2x that amount when not on sale
