Parking Tickets for City of Toronto
I got a parking ticket last Sunday when I went down for the Cirque Du Soleil show. My question is , do you need to pay the parking ticket for $30.00 if the officer got the license number partially wrong. e.g. a "9" for a "6" or the other way around. I am thinking .....definitely not since the noted plate number of the ticket will belong to somebody else. Someone, please advice.

No, you don't.

you should call and tell them someone gave you a ticket that isn't for your plate number. then the person who actually has that plate won't have a surprise next time they renew their plate.

That person will be notified by mail for unpaid ticket.
If somebody in the parking authority will actually do something just because you said there is a mistake, people will just call them and tell them they made a mistake everyday.
For example, my plate is ABCD 123. I call and tell them they made a mistake. I tell them my plate is ABCD 124.
