Multiple passengers on a flight from Israel may have been quarantined at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
The health scare quickly became the focus of staff there Wednesday night, where personnel donned masks and gloves upon boarding the international flight where several passengers were reportedly ill.
The flight landed at Terminal One and is believed to be Air Canada Flight 085, originally departing from Tel-Aviv, Israel. There's no word on exactly what passengers are sick with, but multiple people aboard the plane have reportedly been quarantined for displaying flu-like symptoms.
Doctors and a quarantine officer are with them and Health Canada officials are also on board.Last edited by HighFlyer; Jan 8th, 2008 at 10:12 PM.

the weather doesn't make you sick...

but it does increase the probability of getting sick. Ie. cold weather makes people stay in-door more often, flu spreads more easily in closed quarters. I don't think this was caused by the flu though, the latency period doesn't seem to match, unless of course all the passengers were sick before they boarded.

actually it does, sudden change in temperature leaves your body more vulnerable to receiving bacteria. ie you walk out from a gym sweating and its cold, then the sudden drop in your body temperature messes with your immune system so your more likely to getting sick. Even 10 degrees can make a difference. So I guess weather itself doesn't makes you sick, but plays a big part in it

Found it...It reminded me of a "HOUSE" episode. Maybe it was "Mass Hysteria"
Mass hysteria, also called collective hysteria, mass psychogenic illness, or collective obsessional behavior, is the sociopsychological phenomenon of the manifestation of the same or similar hysterical symptoms by more than one person. A common manifestation of mass hysteria occurs when people believe they are suffering from a similar disease or ailment.

Link for the facts? The last time I checked being cold for short periods of time has nothing to do with your immune system.
5 seconds of Google:

If our immune systems were suppressed every time we got sick, we would all be getting sick more often.
