A really nice Jewish family has invited me to join them at their Passover seder meal.
What would be appropriate for me to bring to this occasion?

Don't bring any food or wine, because who knows how strict they are going to be about being Kosher for Passover, and a lot of foods/wines even though they don't seem like something that would be unkosher, still are.
Best bet is to bring some flowers or something? Or if you want to bring some sort of desert make sure it is kosher for passover specifically.

Bring a KOSHER FOR PASSOVER dessert from the local supermarket. Make sure it's kosher FOR PASSOVER, not just "Kosher". That's it. The only issue is 'Sauga might not have a decent sized supermarket kosher section. Check the websites of Sobeys, Loblaws, etc.

Yeah, at the risk of joining the "be careful!" naysayers, don't be fooled by the "passover" foods at Open Window bakery or Pickle Barrel etc.
Your best bet, IF you want to bring food or dessert, is to hit a reliable kosher market like Sobey's in Thornhill or Toronto Kosher.
Alternately, if you live near a decent LCBO you can probably hit the kosher section and find a decent wine; the vast majority of kosher wines will be fine for passover but triple-check the label anyway.
If all else fails, I'm sure a bouquet of flowers would be just lovely

We go to one of the nights every year to our neighbours. No food, but we do bring about 4 bottles of kosher for passover wine (2 white, 2 red) because we go through a LOT of wine....

It depends how much you want to spend - there are lots of good, but over-priced wines out there, especially this time of year.
The LBCO just got in a new Australian called Five Stones with several varietals (Chard, Cab/Shiraz, Semillon/Sauv Blanc).
I've had the latter (just under $20) and it was good.
There's another Australian winery called Altoona Hills that has a good cab/shiraz for under $15.
Fortant (French, obviously) has a decent merlot in the same area.
I rarely get the above-$20 ones but Yarden makes some good ones.
Beyond that, I'll let others with more wine knowledge offer opinions.
I just remembered, The Star had some reviews the other week - and here they are. It has some good info on the $30-$50 bottles if you want to get something fancier.
