Call up PCF and ask an operator.

I forgot what I used.

I think you need to enter the Bank Transit Number yourself. Just follow the instruction on PayPal with a copy of your cheque. I don't think the bank name matters too much.

Bank Transit Number: 30800
Institution Number: 010 (CIBC) or 326 (Amicus Bank/PCF)

This is sort of correct. Never trust Paypal with your primary account. Call PCF and get them to open you a new account and use that one only for Paypal. It doesn't cost anything with PCF to open new accounts.

This way if they ever screw you over they can't take all your money.

PC does not allow Paypal transactions. I've looked into it a few months ago.

When I tried setting up an account I was denied. PCF told me paypal was not allowed. Maybe things changed?

+1

I've still got my Paypal account and my PCF account linked together. I used "President's Choice Financial" as the Bank.

Yup my PC account is linked to Paypal no problem.

Question: Does PC charge any fees when you use the direct transfer from the account to pay for paypal stuff? I recently discovered that BMO has been charging me every time I paid for something using paypal.

Yep, I had PC running fine with Paypal for some time. I switched banks, however it works fine.

I don`t think the bank name matters too much, your transit, institution and account numbers are the important ones and you add those yourself.

I just put in something like "PC Financial". I believe PC uses the same institution number as CIBC which would be 010. The other numbers will be on your cheque book.
