They had Dell Financial Services but no longer.
They still have Apple Financial Services though.

Yes I did, how odd... what's your prefix? I wonder if they have obsolete CC data? b/c this is all AMEX Canada, how can it be "country not supported"...
3735 worked
3798 did NOT
Even Koodo/TELUS has problems with some AMEX cards, so it's not surprising.

I saw Canada Revenue tax on filing there, and will do payroll instalment this month. Is this the one to use? 3000 bucks a time?
CRA tax on filing usually means pay your balance after you file the current yearI.e. 2016) tax return. Not for installment or anything else.

The prefix isn't a message it is your card # prefix. The first digits of your Amex. The first 6 digits is called the Bank ID Number (BIN).

They are probably using an inaccurately cobbled together BIN database to figure out what country cards are from based on the first 6 digits of your card.

This came up recently with Plastiq where they were treating SPG Amex as a US card.

Amex perhaps used to use certain prefixes only in certain countries but they are running out of numbers so they use them across the border now and it confuses old databases.

e.g. 1234** maybe used to be US-only cards. Then they need some of that range for Canada. So they make 123400-123479 be for US and 123480-99 be for Canada but old databases just say "1234**" = USA and you get hosed if your card is in that range.
Ah, gotcha. Ya my prefix is 3798. Funny thing is it works on plastiq

They all work on Plastiq as they accept US and Canadian cards. The issue was there (recently ended) 2% Amex promo wasn't applying to cards they thought were "US" even though they were actually Canadian.
POLL: How many credit cards do you CARRY?
Plastiq: Pay any bill with credit card for 0-2.5% fee (help meet min spending and keep old cards active!)
Rewards program transfer times (e.g. SPG->Aeroplan, Marriott->SPG, Amex MR->SPG...)

The PayTM Freecharge app wants permission to make Phone Calls and send SMS addresses from my Android Phone. I denied them all, of course, but the app won't work without acceptance. Really?
Get an iPhone, iOS has better permission management

Need help pls!!! I was supposed to pay my 2016 CRA personal tax on filing (~$1000) with paytm, but when it's submitted, it went to "CRA personal tax arrears". What should I do, call CRA?

Stay calm and relax your rear!! The payment will be assigned to personal taxes, even if description has "arrears" in it. It's the same tax "account"

Can't believe how fast we all killed the golden goose here....was looking forward to paying all those goody accounts that got removed so quickly. Like Snoopdop said, we should keep quiet about our tricks for now (if there are any left).

Now, with all the RBC Direct Investing etc got removed.

I am thinking: Can I actually do this?
Pay $1000 to CRA every day for like 10 days.
File my incoming tax
Because I over paid, I will get a BIG Tax refund.

:)

Hi similar thing happened to me before as the funding went into the wrong account. I called them and they just transfered it back to the account I wanted it to be and it's all good. They will date the payment back to the day that the money was first transfered in your account so don't worry.

Until PayTm fixes this, they will continue to lose some business to Plastiq
