All financial information? All they get is your credit card number, and the account number you are paying. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, NSA, CIA, etc. know and sell everything about you, and you are concerned about some numbers. :lol:
Very ignorant thinking.

I saw Canada Revenue tax on filing there, and will do payroll instalment this month. Is this the one to use? 3000 bucks a time?

@@ got this when I tried to add AMEX Biz Plat (3798 prefix)
"The credit card country is not supported". WTF

But.... AMEX SPG worked... and also my OTHER AMEX Biz Plat worked (3735 prefix)
what gives, geez
I got the same "The credit card country is not supported" for my biz plat. You actually got one of your amex biz platinums to work?

Yes I did, how odd... what's your prefix? I wonder if they have obsolete CC data? b/c this is all AMEX Canada, how can it be "country not supported"...
3735 worked
3798 did NOT

I didn't get a prefix number, just the messsage. Maybe because I'm using it on a nexus 7 tablet? Anyways it's a new card that I just got about a week ago

The prefix isn't a message it is your card # prefix. The first digits of your Amex. The first 6 digits is called the Bank ID Number (BIN).

They are probably using an inaccurately cobbled together BIN database to figure out what country cards are from based on the first 6 digits of your card.

This came up recently with Plastiq where they were treating SPG Amex as a US card.

Amex perhaps used to use certain prefixes only in certain countries but they are running out of numbers so they use them across the border now and it confuses old databases.

e.g. 1234** maybe used to be US-only cards. Then they need some of that range for Canada. So they make 123400-123479 be for US and 123480-99 be for Canada but old databases just say "1234**" = USA and you get hosed if your card is in that range.
POLL: How many credit cards do you CARRY?
Plastiq: Pay any bill with credit card for 0-2.5% fee (help meet min spending and keep old cards active!)
Rewards program transfer times (e.g. SPG->Aeroplan, Marriott->SPG, Amex MR->SPG...)
