That's weird - I did not get that..

Toronto property tax? Also which Mastercard?
This was markham property tax and with mbna. Sent them an email to see if they can explain.

I also got the same error even after deleting and adding the biller (Enbridge) back. I guess the Enbridge code is just simply not working anymore :).
Same there...damn it.

Ya that's odd.

I've paid both Markham property tax & Toronto property tax via C1 MC with no issues..

Correct

Taken from Paytm's FAQ:

No I meant the $10 phone bill promos

You can make a $1 payment and still get $10 back?

What was the description of the charge on your MBNA?

No. Has to be a minimum $50 charge. And they do not reduce your payment by $10, they credit your Paytm account $10 of Paytm cash once the payment has been fully processed to be applied to future bill payments.

As a follow up to this, called MBNA. They told me that Paytm is categorizing it as a cash advance, hence there was a cash advance fee and interest fee on my cc. On my statement, it comes up as PAYTM - xxxx

So maybe hold off paying your bills with an MBNA card for the time being. I only saw this as it came up in my statement.

That's weird. If Paytm is categorizing it as a cash advance shouldn't that impact all Mastercards and not just only MBNA Mastercards?

Is this the Smartcash MBNA MasterCard? And how much is the cash advance fee for $1000?

Anyone tried paying their credit card bills with Paytm yet? Will I be able to use Paytm Cash to make that payment? I know you can use a linked bank account to pay your CC bill but I'd rather not risk having that information stored on this app.

I've been paying using my MBNA for over a year. If this is a recent change, I'm screwed. Just spent over 4k this month alone through PayTM on my MBNA.

If this is the case. And they are not telling you this is what the charge will be classified as. I wonder if a chargeback is valid here. Basically you did not authorize them to do a cash advance... you authorized a credit card charge.

I wouldn't want to make a large payment only to find out I am hit with interest at 20% for a month by the time I get the bill.
