Yeah it may work, I’m considering it. I mean I don’t mind that much that it will give them a picture of what I spend my $ on if I pay the majority of my bills through them. I may as well get something out of paying bills. I mean in today’s day and age I’m sure the world already knows everything about me so why not a little bit more
I recommend getting a decent credit card.
Most pay 2% on recurring bill payments.

I churn the Scotiabank Visa Infinite Momentum every year. 4% back on Gas/Groceries 2% drugs/recurring bill payments 1% everything else.

For everything else I use Rogers. They pay 1.75% on everything in cash back. I've racked up ~ $550 so far this year.

If you don't wanna churn you can get Tangerines MC. 2% in 3 categories.

Pays better than PayTM from what I can see.

Whoever used your number in the past likely transferred it to Fido from a VOIP provider
It happens. Rare. But it happens.

Contact PayTM support.

My number is originally from Fido and I've been with almost every carrier in Canada over the years. Number still says Fido when I look it up online.

Yep. By year end it'll be ~ $600 ish.

Some people pay for everything with debit because their too scared to get a CC. Treat your CC like your debit card and you have nothing to fear.

Is there an extra bonus for using someone's referral code? Anyone know?
Yes! Get your family to sign up with your referral code.

When they pay FIRST bill $50 min, you get 5,000 points and they get 5,000 points

ie hubby signs up with wife's code and pays 1 bill = + 5,000 points each
+10,000 new sign up

= $15 gift card for new user ... Bonus!

PayTm is great for paying Property Tax, Hydro, etc via MasterCard = $0 fees

= + Bonus Credit Card Points + PayTM points

Many RFDers joined PayTM in early days when rewards were much richer :)

If you haven't tried, worth it to pay one bill and see for yourself.

If you don't like it, you can use your $10 or $15 gift card and move onto the next deal.

Ps they make their money from selling gift cards

Do I get points paying my cc bill?
If so that’s like getting double points. I.e. u pay ur cell phone bill using cc via paytm(u get paytm points) and pay again ur cc using bank account via paytm (u get points again?)

In this Thread we are talking about PayTM.
If you read - or google it (Operation-136 II) they sale user data to 3rd party for just money.

For google this is not right Thread to discuss as this is specially for PayTM. PayTM is specially for money transactions.

Before March 2018 PayTM was asking for root permission on android device .

If google sale user personal data to 3rd party that not good but that does not mean PayTM is good with that excuse. Google have many social services. Any sting on google?
