Hey does anyone know what would happen If someone bought an expensive item; lets say a TV, at superstore using PC points and refunded it? Does the value go back to points or does it get transferred to what ever form of payment you made up the difference with?
If you buy a TV with points, pay the difference on debit, then return the TV, they'll refund the entire amount on your debit card.

Home service reseller internet + FPL + antenna with streaming on smart TV
Wireless 1 line w/ Virgin on QC plan, few lines w/ Koodo to get phones, couple FreedomPop SIM's for roaming

So you're saying this is one way to convert points to cash?

Also "debit" card only, or would a credit card work too?

My guess is credit card would work. YMMV, since I never tried with credit card.

Two good in-store offers start today. 4000 points for frozen scallops and shrimp in garlic sauce, new Insiders Report item. I had a frozen seafood offer that stacked so each box went from $8.98 to $2.50. Yay!!
Also $40 off cast iron Dutch Oven and points.

Ontario RCSS has the deal in their weekly flyer so it is Province wide at least. Looking to grab one.

Anyone else having issues with the PC Plus app? It keeps freezing up with only the PC Plus card displayed on screen.

Hi RFD.

I currently have a PC Plus offer of 1000 points for every $5 spent on Electronics.

I am wondering if phones would count. For example buying and iPhone X no contract $1350 and getting 270000 points.

I will probably try this myself next week and report back for others. Could be a YMMV hot deal if it works

Technically it is an electronic device. But I am sure they have it under a separate category.

All the best, I hope you get the points

The best way is to call PC Plus customer service. And ask them and let them tell you if this purchase will be counted as an electronics. If you have no other options to reduce the price of iPhone X, just use the offer. Sometimes the customer service representative doesn't know the answer, but the system knows.
If we can dream it, we can make it!

Have you clicked on the offer, to make the "fine print" appear... exclusions are often listed there.

For all offers you can only get 99X the offer automatically i.e., 99,000 pts and you would have to call in for the balance.

Of course phone goes under "electronics" category, there is no question about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if in the future they will come up with the new terms as "dumb electronics" or "smart electronics"*. And no one ruled out the fine print and exclusion lists.

It's hard to answer your question categorically because we don't set the rules and we don't redefine the terms. So straight answer is "YES" and convoluted answer is "MAY BE NOT", "DEPENDS" or "RTFM"Smiling Face With Open Mouth.

Get the idea?

*Or rather "spy electronics".

Wat
When you ring it in, can't the CSR tell you if purchase qualifies for x amount of points before you actually pay?
