Not too sure how that works lol. I wonder if you can though
My guess is that you can now pay with points for stuff that up to now you had to pay with cash or credit card, e.g. the down payment (if any) for a subsidized phone on postpaid plans or the phone, SIM and/or airtime for prepaid plans.

I'd be surprised if you could pay your monthly cell phone bill with points. I need to pay Koodo for the Tab of about $300 for my new phone. If only I could use PC points and PC gift cards for that.

Do all in-store promos have to be one in 1 transaction? Example, I bought a couple items in the bed/bath department at RCSS. Didn't know until I got home that if you spent $60 you get 10,000 pts. (in-store promotion and not one that showed up on my account) I was about $5 short of the total. Can I buy a $5 bath item to hit the total?

19,000 pts on $100
nice deal this week :D
I got the Azami noodles deal. Bought 78 packs 28 cents and @600 points each ($21.84) = 46,800 points

They paid me double to buy their noodles. Took them to the foodbank, used my 50k points for groceries. Epic

Yeah...PC Plus and Optimum are the best points plans. At worst they're easy to collect points for, at best, unheard-of generous

Got a 10,000 pts for $100 spent again.

I have 30,000 pts, if I use them to pay, do I need to spend $130 to redeem the offer?
Or do the points count just as nornal cash?

Yes. The dollar threshold for earning bonus points is independent of how you pay. Your 30,000 points are the same as $30 in cash.

You need to spend $130.Found it hard way.,Bascially you can't use Points to make up your offer amount.

The good offers are dwindling these days.

If I had such an offer, I probably wouldn't redeem any points that shopping trip. I would make sure at the end of the order, the 10K points showed up on the screen. The points don't expire so I'm in no rush to use them up.

Really? That makes no sense. Points are a means of payment, just like gift cards, credit/debit cards and cold hard cash. If I buy $100 of stuff I should qualify for the bonus points no matter how I pay the $100, including if I use 100,000 existing points from my account.

If this happened to you recently then you should appeal. Ask PC Points to show you where in their program terms and conditions it says that if you use points to pay for a purchase that reduces the dollar value of the transaction and thus your eligibility for points.

P.S. Another reason why this makes no sense. Suppose the offer is 100 pts for every $ spent on some item. This is common with produce. You buy $20 worth of that produce and pay with 20,000 points from your account. Why would you not get 20 x 100 bonus points? (In fact I've done exactly this and got full points.)

yes you need to spend $130 to redeem the offer. If you read the fine print, there's a restriction about that. save the points for when you don't have a bonus spending offer.

the points are good as cash but technically you aren't spending the $100 requirement for the bonus points if you are fairly close.

they are probably near expiration and loblaws is trying to get rid of them, hence the crazy points. those went for 10 cents each once
