[Walmart] Pepsi/Coke 6x710ml for $1.97 Walmart (starting Thurs Nov 26th)

Just wanted to give a heads up for everyone. My boss sent me this weeks deals and there will be a great deal on the 710 starting Thursday at Walmart for the week. Haven't been below $2 in a few months and i'm pretty sure Coke is onsale as well (work for Pepsi)

Also RCSS will have 2L for $1, Fortinos and Sobeys are to be $3.49 for 12p/710s. So load up at Metro now since they are onside for only $3.33

Yep same as a 12p of pop. Sadly it ain't the cheapest they have ever been (could get them sometimes for $1.88 a few years back) I know i'm planning on buying at least 20 for myself with Xmas coming up

Wow, a 2L bottle would have to be 92¢ to beat this price!

No diet/sugar specialists in here yet? It seems like the people who eat sugar wake up earlier than those who don't. hmm

Might grab a few cases... Even though I've cut down on drinking soft drinks, but at this price it's hard to resist

somewhat interesting point... i have been told (and can anecdotally relay) that the bottles are not as good as they previously were. They do not hold the carbonation as long as they used to so if you are buying 20 .... if they are not gone in a couple months... they'll go flat on you

my anecdotal evidence is i always buy 8 six packs when they go on sale at shoppers. they easily last the month it takes me to drink them all. no difference in day one or day 30. im a Pepsi snob and wont drink other colas cause of the taste difference and would be able to tell if they were not fresh. i put them in my storage room.

The bottles expire in 3 months typically and the cans a year.
After they are expired the taste is slightly off and the carbonation has usually decreased in the bottles.

You will find the expiration dates if you look carefully on the bottles and on the case (and often on the cans too)
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

This a great deal, thank you!

For those looking for 2L bottles, they're $1/each this week at No Frills (down from $1.25/each the previous week).

You will have to wear hockey equipment if you want to pick up this deal at my local Walmart. Every corner/confectionery store owner for miles will be all over this like World War Z.

lol @ the image that conjured.

Srsrly though, I haven't bought bottles of pop in mayyybe a decade...or two. The carbonation is incredibly subpart to canned pop. If I wanted flat pop, I could go to McD's.

That said....love how your boss sends you the promos.

most store owners around me arent that stupid. they know they would be hearing it from their sales rep if they saw them selling 710ml bottles

That wouldn't surprise me at all. The independent ones for sure will buy-in bulk. The $1 2L sale at RCSS will probably get most of the action or at any store where they can price match them at. You can spot them a mile away and i will look at my sales guy and say "Convent store owner coming" and sure enough they buy 3-4 shopping carts full. One time last summer at the Oakville RCSS we had one guy order a full skid of Coke and Pepsi from the $1 sale (so each skid holds 50 shells which hold 8 bottles each) So 800 bottles combined later is what they drove off with.

Also like someone has already said they don't last nearly as long as the cans, but i personally like the taste from the bottle more. Could be because at my cottage when i was young, you could only get it in a glass bottle to drink. (which have the same life span as the cans do to seal and glass container)
