I would get a bigger size for the pet so it can freely move around inside when it wants. I just flew my dog 15 hours , but was lucky Air Canada allows pets in cabin and it was able to sit by my legs for the duration of the flight.

damn 24 hours in the crate with no potty break?
Yep! That's right. And that's also the only option I have if I want to move with my dog. I'm prepared to clean her up upon arrival.
