Phones with answering machines
Hey,
I have a question about phones with answering machines built-in.
I have never owned this product so I am wondering, what will happen if I buy 2 such phones (different manufaturer) and have the feature ON on both phones?
How does that work?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question.

Just make sure only one of the phones has the answering system turned on. The other phone can stay connected, just without the answering system enabled.
If both are turned on, and set to answer after the same number of rings, they may both pick up. (Only if they picked up at exactly the same time).
One of two things would happen then. Either they would both record the message, or one or both would immediately hang up because they'd think someone in the house had picked up the phone. (The other machine picking up is like you picking up the phone - the machine thinks you've grabbed the call and disconnects).

That was very helpful. Thanks.
