Just received my LeEco...it came with a weird charger though? Chinese? Is it a universal adapter that I have to take apart somehow or did I accidentally order the wrong one?

Huh? The phone is USB C. The cable that comes with the phone is USB C. You can buy adapters if you don't want to obsolete all your other USB cables. Take a read of this.

Thank you for the link. I like USB type C. It'll probably take a couple years before most consumer electronics switch over, but for now, adapters are the way to go.

Will the phone fast charge with just the cord though? It also came with an adapter that is definitely not North American.

the asus zenfone 2 intel processor is it really that bad with 4gb memory? 1 local for 200.00 with 64gb of space seems like a great deal to me....

Actually, even the base model with minimum storage and ram is fine. The problem is with the CPU being less energy efficient than a comparable snapdragon. I have one. It was running fine until the android 6 update. It totally wrecked the battery life. I have since installed resurrection remix and no battery life is as good as original in spite of 10% loss in capacity over two years of use. It is now the standby phone. BTW, $200 is way too much to pay for that phone given the age. You never know how many more years of use you can get out of it.

It is confirmed Zenfone 3 Laser has both the LTE band (12 & 41 ) 700 & 2500 MHz.

My wife has the great $5 text + free incoming call plan. She does have problem with the infamous 1700 AWS connection. But if that is shifted to 700MHz, that is supposedly to cure the wall penetration issue.

iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X Supports Freedom Mobile Band 66 AWS-3 LTE

Kind of expected, but definitely good to get confirmation. Now I have all the details to make an informed decision: Iphone 8+, Iphone X, or jump ship to Android?

What are you all leaning towards?

Before taking the plunge onto Shaw's network, I suggest checking out HowardForums and see what speeds people are getting. Vancouver LTE is quite poor.

3G can't be moved to 700Mhz as that frequency is only for LTE its not for 3G. None of the big carriers use 700Mhz for 3G its for LTE only. Building penetration will always be an issue with freedom which is why I'll never go back to them, also I was tired of the maintenance that happened during the day and cut off calls and texts and only data worked during these times, it was for several hours on end and I hated the restrictions that my free roaming had with it. Glad I made the switch to virgin mobile on August 14th. I'm never going back
Currently a Freedom Mobile customer on the Everywhere59 plan with the $10 3gb data addon with free canada and usa roaming.

Well, it'll be less of an issue for calls once Freedom gets VoLTE up and running (since that *can* use the 700MHz band). But yeah, 700 MHz isn't going to help much on the 3G side.
