the ones that i cored are Dole Golden Pineapples
very good stuff.....and yes there is tons wasted on the cored ones, id buy the whole ones (look for a nice big one too) but then again i get to eat what gets thrown out if i want

I don't eat core, since it's not ripe; but I use it to make juice. No sandpapering of tongue that way.
I also always buy them whole, you can core them yourself and get maximum.
$2 is a great price...

I buy my pineapples at Costco. Always very big and sweet.
Much bigger than the cored ones at the supermarket.
I can cut them myself, thanks.

$1 pineapple
I'm not sure how they're doing this, given that pineapple have an inherent weight and volume and come from a tropical place, but Ontario Farms has a television ad advertising them for $1. I don't know the locations, and won't be going there because I'm the burbs, but I thought I'd let you know.
