Yup, you are correct. I bought the Pioneer SC35 last September from Costco.com for $749. Smokin' hot deal!!! But, the sub pre-out audio was fading in and out. Took it to a local Pioneer authorized repair centre and said it was not under warranty. Paid $75 for them to look at it..... I get a call and they tell me the amp is fried. Bunch of total morons! How can the amp be fried when it was working perfectly before? I know they must have done something to it. Anyways, Pioneer Canada wanted $229 to replace the ICE amps. No way! I'm taking it back to my local Costco for a refund. I guess that's the beauty of buying from Costco. Moral of the story; buy with caution from US regarding electronics as they will not be honored in Canada (unless the manufacturer has an international warranty which is rare).

I guess it's better to get a model one notch down at costco.com (e.g. the 921 for $299.99) since at least it can be returned here in Costco Canada if issues were to arise?

To which US addresses does Costco US not ship to? Did read about known UPS or UPS receiving sites but was wondering if anyone can confirm.
