Pioneer IPOD installation
Well i wrote a small review on the ilounge site but redflag users should also benefit from it as well.
I decided to try the new improved version of the Pioneer Ipod connection. The deck I purchased was the DEH-4900ib which has the direct ipod cable for only 40 bucks I was able to secure mine for 20 with some haggling.

Is a quick pic of my deck, and quick pic of the ipod nano ( i believe 3rd gen)

The connection looks messy in the pic but i extended it out to show how much cord is given.

Anyways, the deck is highly responsive with relatively no lag time from switching between the standard items on the ipod music submenu. On this particular deck, the move between each listing (albums, songs playlists and everything) the up and down buttons located around the volume knob need to be used. To access, lets say albums, the right button gives more accessibility to each folder level

Once the song is selected it shows extended information about the song artist, song title. Using the Display button gives more information about the current track.
Overall Im quite happy with my selection, the sound is crisp over the JBL gto640 that i have installed. I really look forward to finding a quailty sub to compliment my setup._______________- Will SmithMoney and success don't change people; they merely amplify what is already there.
