I'd be driving up from Cornwall - I've never been to a Costco though - is it hard to get a membership?
Anyone want to buy 2 and sell me one? LOL (J/k but not really... I'm in the market for this grill).

It's easy to get a membership, just bring your DL and pay $60+tax. You can even refund it right after if you won't need it.

Yep, you can refund it any time within 1 year.
The other option is to ask some member to buy you a Costco Cash card and then you can get a 1-day pass without a membership.

Was just at the Edmonton Costco on Yellowhead and 149 St,.

They did not have any of the pellet grills but did have four (plusthe display) Kamado Grills.

Kitchener Costco is the closest one to the GTA that has it on sale for $399.

give it some time, there is just a delay for the GTA area. A week or two before you see the price kick in I bet.

I have the pellet grill. It's awesome if you want subtle smokiness and are too lazy to monitor a traditional smoker. I am probably 45 min away from the Kanata location unfortunately...if there was a boxed unit in other Ottawa stores, I might be able to help you out.

Edit: Alternatively, I can offer to get you a cash card from the Nepean location that will give you access to the store. I am not sure how it works exactly, but I think if you have a $20 card for example, you can go in and purchase anything you want, and pay the difference. Someone else that has experience with this can chime in. I have been a member for 10 years but never bothered to check :)

You need to go to the customer service and ask for 1-day pass. You can do it twice a year without membership.

Picked one up at Cross Iron last night. Bit of flak from the wife but my Akorn is starting to rust and I know I'd regret it forever if I didn't jump on this.
Helped a guy in the parking lot load his up - he had bought one last year. It developed a crack and Costco accepted it as a return, so he got a new grill and $300 cash.
How is the Akorn for a novice? Where did you buy it from.

Spotted about 3 boxes of pellet grills at Mississauga Costco (Rodeo Dr.) for the regular price - $550?.. If someone interested to try and price match.

Do yourself a favour and find one of the Kamados that Costco's selling, well worth the extra $$$ and they'll last forever (unlike the Akorn. I had an Akorn and LOVED it, but it rusted out in about 3-4 years.)

Can anyone who bought the pit boss kamado grill share the dimensions of the box? Want to know if it will fit in my Kia Rondo.

I’m moving into a condo and looking for a BBQ. Is the komodo a good one to get? My deck is fairly big (for it being a condo) - 275 sq ft.
