[Pizza Pizza] Exchange an Ink Cartridge or Small Electronic + Get a Free Slice

We see this offer every year from Pizza Pizza and it's back for the month of April. Drop off any old ink cartridge, cell phone or other small electronic device at Pizza Pizza and you'll get a free slice of pizza in return. As far as I know this is the first year they've included ink cartridges on the list which seems a bit more reasonable than exchanging an out of date tablet or smart phone for a slice. The items are processed for parts and the proceeds are donated to Children's Miracle Network.

Among the acceptable items to bring in are cameras, adapters, tablets, iPods, ink cartridges and mobile phones.

Although I do not prefer Pizza Pizza, but kudos to them for trying to help with green initiatives. Will keep a couple cartridges handy in my car for those time when I feel like a big snack =).

Can other members also confirm if this is store-specific or across the franchise?

Does toner count as ink 'cartridge'?

Ah damn. I just replaced the color and blank ink cartridges of my printer last week. Threw em out already on last week's garbage day. Bah!

Question is, would the employees really give it for charity if someone brought in a tablet/ipod/phone?

I get my brother ink cartridges from ebay for around $0.77 ea when I buy them in bulk (40 cartridges for $31). Not a bad deal. Too bad I throw them out immediately after they go empty.

I suppose. I generally will throw out a slice of Pizza Pizza pizza anyway, without exchanging electronics for it.

A startac would be worth more than a pizza slice even though it cant be used on any networks anymore.

I wonder how many playbooks would it need to get a whole pizza LOL

There's a pizza pizza near Bloor/Sherbourne? I've never seen one there
You're still trading something for it, hot deals is more appropriate than freebies in this case.
