Which places have lowest dispensing fees? (PHARMACY)

Hi,

Just out of curiosity which places have the lowest dispensing fees? I noticed recently that my company will only cover dispensing fees up to a maximum of $8.

Some places like shoppers I know charge a whopping $11-$13.

Anywhere that has a dispensing fee less than $8? I believe dominion's charged me $9 at one time.

Any cheaper?
pls let me know THANKS!

Your local private drug store would be only $6. Or places like loblaws, Wal-Mart would be clost to $6 as well.

Any updates to this thread?

Got a couple of scripts filled - $9.99 a pop at Food Basics. Plus an extravagant mark up! Sweet.

Are you sure about the extravagant mark up?

Drugs still under patent have their maximum prices regulated by the federal government. Nearly all pharmacies will sell for the max, since their suppliers sell to them for near or at the max.

And generic drugs have their maximum prices regulated by the provincial government. And once again pharmacies will sell for the max, since their suppliers sell for near or at the max.

Walmart in SQ1 recently raised it to $8.97. I remember buying drugs last year and a couple months ago at that location and did not pay such high fee. What a rip off! I went there for the convenience sake and because it was the closest from my home. I had three medications to pay for and did not realise my insurance company has a cap of $5 max! plus they told me Wal-Mart also upped their drug price and charge more than what the maximum prices regulated by the federal government has, so there goes another charge...
