So... yay me, I'm in your Playbook club.

Welcome Fruchick. How do you accidentally a word?

16 gb
For those who have the 16gb PB - can anyone offer any insight on whether 16gb is enough memory for you? I'm thinking that after the 2.0 os update with all the pre-installed applications 16gb isn't that much. Any thoughts? Thanks from a PB newbie

"hey, people are buying our product! Maybe its good after all!"
Yeah, people love it. But only when it can be bought at a price that makes RIM lose money making it!

I got mine before Christmas when the 32Gb version was $299, i wish I would have been able to pick it up when the 16GB and 32GB were the same price. I guess it could fill up if you put movies/music on it but 16Gb is enough for now, I can always bridge it to my wife's blackberry to access the SD card for extra storage. We mostly use it for the apps, books and surfing the internet.

At this time and age, it's better to be able to sell at a loss that not sell at all. I'm certain there are a lot of technology products that can't be sold even for a pittance.
First time foray into the tablet market for RIM. I'm sure QNX will rock. Don't forget all those other acquisitions like TAT.
I only own the Playbook but if RIM does come out ( I believe it has for OS 7.1 and onward) with wifi hotspot (and compatibility with SO/PC/Bell unlimited mobile browsing) and lower its prices for its entry level smartphones, I don't mind giving it a shot.
On the BB, the physical keyboard is still a handy tool for many, especially for SMS in developing countries.

Crackberry reporting the 21st according to source in South America operations. That will be great. Update your desktop software, then plug in after midnight and hope it's true...

Works for me. Can only hope external storage can be accessed through USB like on my Ipad since this would make playing video a breeze instead of having to load it onto the device. Just have to wait and see...

Doug, how do we update the desktop software? Sorry, it's been awhile since I plugged the Playbook to my desktop/laptop.

All I did was open the desktop software and it said a new version was available for download. It updated itself for me after I accepted it's terms.
